Affinity Photo maybe the Adobe Photoshop Killer

Posted on April 7, 2019January 12, 2022 by admin
Affinity Serif Logo
Affinity photo editing software. Created by Serif.

PlayfulCorp provides us with an Adobe License for our Work Station. But at home when the need has arised I have dabbled with Gimp. But most of my home time is spent learn Blender which is a free license and Unity and well as Bolt and C++. So I haven’t really need a photoshop license at home until recently.

So I looked up the prices of just Photoshop at $20 a month and honestly as a father of a family of five that needs to be thinking of Colleges and Eventual retirement let alone REAL Bills, home upkeep, School Functions and Activities; it is really stupid to be paying $20 or the more need $50+ plus monthly on an Adobe Applications that would really only be used for practice and Fan Art.

Affinity Photo maybe the Photoshop Killer. Still I have ran into a few problems and have addressed them in the Affinity Photo forum. Hopefully these additions will come with future updates but as for today this beats the monthly Adobe Photoshop price tag.

Thanks,
Brian
